As student ConcusssEd Ambassador for Glasgow University Sports Association I was delighted to support sportscotland and their concussion awareness programming at the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships.

At events held in Dundee and Perth, interactive programming was delivered from within the NHS Scotland Mobile Skills Unit (MSU).

This provided the perfect location to ignite conversation with cycling enthusiasts about the importance of concussion education.

Our message primarily focused on the Scottish Sports Concussion Guidance with the strapline: "if in doubt, sit them out".

I had the opportunity to talk with a number of cycling fans about their experiences with concussion, answer any questions they had and help drive home the importance of concussion education.

This event gave me a unique opportunity to engage with the general public and highlighted the power of student sport involvement in concussion awareness on an international platform.
